How do I save settings in FPSE as defaults?
I'm having a lot of trouble saving settings in FPse. The virtual gamepad (which I've completely hidden) resets, it moves from landscape back to half-portrait view, and the big one is that hardware acceleration turns off. The last one is critical because the framerate/sound seems to stutter a lot.
Njasa. Google results are telling me that I should be saving settings as defaults, but.. I can't seem to find the button for that. There is 'Save config as default' in the Advanced/Saves menu, but that doesn't save anything. Most of the settings seem to immediately revert before I can even navigate to that. I don't get it.

PCSXBox v21:
PCSXBox v21 is released. PCSXbox is a port of the PCSX emulator to Xbox. It emulates the Playstation1 console.
***************************************
*** Changes To PcsXbox Core ***
***************************************
* Given the full 'Madmab Edition' treatment.
* New dual-preview skin to support Ressurection Xtra's. Say thank you to Gilou9999 for the skin.
* Changed so all versions (1.14-1.16) use same configurations for ease of use and to save confusion
* Directory information is passed when changing PSX versions so that when user exits a game he is still on the same game in the game select screen (again to save confusion).
* 'Move Selected to the Garbage Folder?' now has a new option. 'Never Move'. So 'Yes' will ask before moving the selected file to the Garbage folder. 'No' will just move the file and 'Never Move' won't move the file at all.
* New feature 'Seconds before playing movie' determines how long the emu will wait before playing a movie. The default is half a second. This will help speed up rom browsing. Especially useful for people streaming stuff (like movies) across the network.
* If streaming movies from across the network and the user press on the dpad or a, b, x or y the emulator will abort the transfer. This should help speed up rom browsing and allow the user an 'out' especially for the larger movies.
* Pressing the back key while viewing a games synopsis will toggle between a fixed font and the skins proportional font.
* Fixed an issue with the software filters displaying garbage.
* Activated the 'Keep user Within ROM Directory Tree?' which I somehow missed.
* Fixed up the box/cart art position on a few skins.
* Fixed a problem where setting the box/cart orientation was screwed up.
* Fixed the bug that screwed up Gilou's skin to begin with (too weird to explain).

*** To Do For PcsXbox ***

- Fix some lockups on exit?

********************************************
**** Carryovers from Atarixlbox ****
********************************************
A gazillion changes carried over from Atarixlbox. Read the Latest-Snes9x.txt file.
***********************************************************************************************
*** 'Auto Game Configurations (aka Configuration defaults) for select emulators ***
***********************************************************************************************
In the 'General settings' menu there will be a new option.
'Automatically Use Default Game Configuration - Yes/No'
If the user sets it to 'Yes' it will bring up the game configuration screen and let the user define the default (if no default.stg and default.key file exists).
In the 'Configuration' menu there will be a new option.. 'Set default game configuration'
The user can go in anytime thru the 'Configuration' menu to change these 'defaults' to something else if they wish.
Once set to 'Automatically use Default Game Configuration' the user will not see the game configuration screen again unless they.. a) press X when selecting a game. Change 'Use Default Game Configuration' back to 'No'.
Keep in mind when it is set to 'Yes' the game will use your 'Default game settings' and not the normal x-port behavior. If set to 'No' the emulator will behave like it usually does. Each emu is typically different. But all, at the very least carry the controller settings over.
This feature will only be added to emulators in which it is feasible to use.

1. Number of players
ePSXe supports 1/2 Players mode, 1 a fun 2 players mode for tablets (using split screen mode), and 3/4 players support (in games supported multitap), Because the PSX has 2 gamepad ports, you can choose plug the multitap to port1 or port2 (depending on the game you could choose one of them).2. PSX Pad Type
Choose the kind of emulated PAD (Digital, Dual Shock, Namco Gun or Justifier Gun). ePSXe includes a database of supported pad modes for the games, and automatically will disable analog or gun when it is not supported in the game. Namco Gun and Justifier Gun are emulated using the touchscreen.Gamepad Skin Fpse
3. Select Gamepad
It scans the system for gamepads, and you have to choose the one which you select for this player (if you prefer the touchscreen you have choose virtual).- Touchscreen, choose virtual.
- Xperia play to have to choose xperiaplay here (in order to support touchpad and l2/r2 mapping to touchpad on digital).
- Moga devices choose moganative (using native driver for moga pocket) (mapping is automatically done)
- Other options: Xbox, PS3 DS, PS4 DS, Logitech, Nvidia Shield, iPega HID, Nyko PRO, Ouya, Moga HID and so on (a lot of gamepad will be full configurated automatically when choosed - mapping not required)
